From York Train Station
15-minute scenic walk: Exit the main station entrance and turn left onto Station Road, keeping the historical city walls on your right. Cross Lendal Bridge over the River Ouse into the city centre. Walk through Davygate toward Parliament Street, where The Shambles is just a short turn away.
By Local Bus
The nearest stops are Stonebow (closest) and Piccadilly. From Stonebow, walk into the city centre, turn right at Marks & Spencer onto The Shambles, and walk up the cobblestone street—we are on the left toward the top.
By Park & Ride
Take any city centre Park & Ride bus. Both the Askham Bar and Grimston Bar services drop off a short 5-minute walk away at Piccadilly and Tower Street.

The Shambles is pedestrian-only during daytime hours. Have your driver drop you off at Stonebow or Piccadilly, which are both a short 2 to 3 minute walk away.

Historic Paving: As a 14th-century historic street, The Shambles features uneven cobblestones, raised stone curbs, and narrow footpaths. Please take extra care when using wheelchairs, mobility scooters, or pushchairs.
Blue Badge Parking: Designated Blue Badge parking bays are available nearby at Dundee Court, Piccadilly, inside Q-Park Shambles, and at Castle Car Park.
Shop Entrance: Our entrance features a single small step for access. Our friendly team is always on hand and happy to assist you if you need support entering our boutique.
